CLUB RULES

1. TITLE. The name of the Club is CRUISERS RUNNING CLUB.

2. HEADQUARTERS. The Headquarters of the Club is at THE DAVID LLOYD LEISURE CLUB, WESTFIELD AVENUE, OLD WOKING, SURREY, GU22 9PF.

3. AIMS. The aims of the club are the promotion of Road Running and fellowship within the club.

4. MANAGEMENT. The management of the Club is vested in a committee consisting of Chairman, Vice-Chairman, Honorary Treasurer, Honorary Secretary, Membership Officer and a minimum of two other members, all to be elected annually. At Committee Meetings three members are required to make a Quorum. The Committee has the authority to fill any vacancy that may arise. All decisions will be by a majority vote, with the Chairman having the casting vote in the event of a tie. The management shall collect, retain and account for all monies due to the club. The Honorary Treasurer shall present a statement of income and expenditure, quarterly to the committee,to coincide with its scheduled meetings. The funds of the Club shall be banked and all cheques drawn upon the account of the Club shall be signed by the holders of any two of the three following executive Committee positions, namely Chairman, Vice-Chairman and Treasurer, who shall have the power to pay the out-of-pocket expenses of all the Officers, the general expenses of the Club and any other expenses or fees authorised by the Committee. The Committee shall have the power to invest club funds. In the event of the Club being wound up, the net funds of the Club shall be donated to charities.

5. MEMBERSHIP. All members of the David Lloyd Leisure Club,Woking can join the Cruisers Running Club. Prospective members should submit a completed application form to the Membership Officer. All members are bound by the rules of UK Athletics (or its successor).

6. SUBSCRIPTION. Members shall pay an annual subscription as determined at the Annual General Meeting, payable on joining and thereafter immediately following the Annual General Meeting.

7. CLOTHING. The Clubs official running vest will be green with a single 7cm horizontal purple band and the words CRUISERS in black on the front of the vest. The Club's training T-shirts and sweatshirts may be of an appropriate colour, to be determined from time to time by the committee, incorporating the official running vest wording.

8. ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING. An Annual General Meeting shall be held during the month of January to receive Honorary Secretary's and Honorary Treasurer's reports, to elect Officers and Committee Members and to deal with any other matters specified on the Agenda. The Honorary Secretary must give every Club member 21 days' notice of the Meeting,together with notice of any business that is on the Agenda.

9. EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING. The Honorary Secretary must give every Club Member 21 days' notice of the Meeting, together with notice of any business that is on the Agenda.

10. SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING. A special General Meeting must be called by the Honorary Secretary within 21 days' of the receipt of a requisition in writing signed by at least five Members of the Club, stating the business to be brought before such a Meeting.

11. ALTERATION OF RULES. No alterations may be made to the Rules except by an Annual General Meeting, or an Extraordinary General Meeting called for that purpose
