Through our membership of;

UK Athletics
=>
England Athletics the
club, its officers and those acting on behalf of it, have public liability and third party insurance.
The amount of cover provided for any one incident is up to £10,000,000; but in the case of third party property damage the first £750 of any claim is not covered.
The following are examples of where cover would apply, subject to legal liability being proven:
=> Accidental bodily injury to any spectator, official, athlete or visitor.
=> Injury caused through the sale of food and drink as part of the club activities.
=> Injury caused as a result of incidental first aid administered.
=> Accidental damage to material property belonging to a third party - for instance damage caused to fences on land being used for a cross country race.
We have a separate policy for Personal Accident Insurance. This cover is provided in the event of Accidental Death or Accidental Bodily Injury whilst the
club members are:
=> Participating in athletics at any meeting organised or recognized by
UK Athletics anywhere in the world.
=> Any
training event organised by the Club.
=> Traveling directly to and from the above mentioned meetings or training sessions.
This will pay £25,000 as a result of any accident to a club member in the event of:
=> Death.
=> Loss of the use of one or more hands or feet.
=> Loss of the use of sight in one or both eyes.
=> Athlete sustains injuries so severe that he/she is prevented from attending any gainful occupation for the remainder of their life.
